PURCHASING PRINCIPLES
Central Procurement facilitates the supplier selection process, working with cross-department teams within The FA, Wembley National Stadium Ltd and England 2018.
We are committed to selecting the very best suppliers during a competitive process designed to obtain the optimum in quality, service, and value. We negotiate and work with a diverse range of suppliers to deliver the best products which will meet or exceed each brand's specific standards.
Suppliers to The FA Group will comply with all applicable local and national laws on:
- Child labour
- Forced labour
- Abuse of labour
- Freedom of association and collective bargaining
- Discrimination
- Wages and benefits
- Work hours and overtime
- Environment and sustainability
The FA Group may at any time request the supplier to demonstrate their compliance with these supplier principles. Depending on our findings, suppliers may be asked to make improvements. As we do this in order to build a good partnership, we will ask suppliers for their understanding and cooperation.
Evaluation and performance schedules will be agreed with the suppliers individually. These will generally follow the approach of any Key Performance Indicators agreed in the Service Level Agreement of a Contract.
The FA Group will:
1. Build good partnerships with suppliers, based on mutual trust and the principles of fairness, coexistence and co-prosperity.
2. The FA Group will exercise high ethical standards and a social conscience, we will conduct our procurement activities in strict compliance with both the letter and spirit of laws and regulations, both national and international, and in every region we operate.
3. The FA Group, whilst focusing on promoting ‘green’ procurement, will constantly strive to achieve reasonableness as well as stable quality, cost, and delivery.
